Omniverse songwriter and visual artist Leo Lauren has shared his debut fever dream single “Lovesick,” available to stream now on all DSPs worldwide. “Lovesick” is the yearning soundtrack to a Love Island with no love in sight, where stranded, lonely strolls down the beaches of Paradise Goth are infected with the haze of far-off sunset and estranged desires.

The song grooves with the beat of a heart pulsing miles away from its owner, obsessed with what’s only out of reach. Alongside the track release, Lauren has shared an animated lyric video in collaboration with virtual artist Balfua (Sam Balfus) and a free digital visual art collectible–the first in a series of collectibles Lauren has in store, which will grant access to future exclusive content and a pass to a community of goth-glam misfits.

“Lovesick” is the first installment from Lauren’s forthcoming fall-slated debut EP, Supernormal, produced by Heather Liz Baker, music director for Chappell Roan, and featuring bass and guitar by Baker as well as drums by Jarrod Fletcher Alexander of My Chemical Romance.

Like a ghost between worlds, Leo Lauren roams from visual art to music, sci-fi surrealist videos, performance, and virtual reality in his hand-stitched Frankensteinian outfits. His art and music collapse histories and pastiche genres into distinctly gothic, glittery, pop mutations, creating a unique sonic character. In Leo Lauren’s supernormal omniverse, turmoil, longing, love, fear, and fantasy collide to take on strange and exciting shapes and sounds.

Fans can expect more new music from Lauren ahead of the album release.
