Sam Baker and Tom Aimson of Guilt Trip took some time to join Damian FitzGerald for a catch-up following their set at Slam Dunk 2024. With the release of their most recent album, Severance, the band has been delighted with how fans received it. Taking a different approach to delivering an album with more energy, Guilt Trip did not go out of its way to achieve this; instead, it let creativity take the lead and avoided any confusion affecting each individual’s input. This resulted in a natural feeling record for the band.
Guilt Trip also delivered a story-based video for the single “Eyes Wide Shut” for the first time, empowering the director to have full creative control over the narrative.
If Guilt Trip could play anywhere, Middle Earth to an army of Orcs would be epic. Could you imagine the pit?
