Feminist rage queen Delilah Bon is back with her latest single from her upcoming new album, Evil, Hate Filled Female, set to drop on September 13th, 2024. The new track “Volatile” is available for streaming now, and there’s a chance to see it live on her UK and European Autumn tour.
On the video, Delilah Bon comments:
“‘Volatile’ is a song I wrote about my 10 year journey in music, dealing with misogyny and gatekeepers in the industry. It’s about the many times I’ve doubted myself and wanted to quit, the times before I started Delilah Bon and my mum would have to remind me of my power every time I’d get knocked down. It’s a song for my creatives and dreamers, a reminder to keep going and believing in your own vision even when it feels like nobody else does.”
“Volatile” follows the villainous title track “Evil, Hate Filled Female,” “Finally See Me,” and “Maverick,” offering a glimpse of what listeners can expect from the 14-track self-produced album, which will be released on the artist’s own label.
Crafting imaginative stories and characters, Delilah’s album is a testament to her resilience and determination to confront adversity head-on. With the complete creative freedom of being an independent artist, she delivers her most authentic work, weaving together themes of escapism and hard-hitting social commentary with unparalleled honesty and vulnerability.
“It’s about turning the tables on hate and reclaiming our power. We are truly in our villain era, and this album is our soundtrack.”
Having recently performed at Download festival, Glastonbury, 2000 Trees, Rock For People, and set to headline the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading and Leeds Festival, Delilah Bon has also announced an 18-date UK and European headline tour, kicking off at the end of October.
