Norwegian house artist Simon Field announces the release of his new album Panda, a 9-track collection of fresh new house tracks drawing inspiration from the Oslo underground scene combined with Simon’s passion for classic Chicago house. The album drops on August 16th on Basement Records.

Simon Field, a prominent DJ and producer from Oslo, Norway, has made significant strides in the electronic music scene. Known for his signature blend of deep, tech vocal house, Field has amassed over 350 million streams and released tracks on renowned labels such as Armada, Universal Music, Sony Music Ultra, Perfect Havoc, and his own Basement Records. Field’s journey in music began with a passion for the underground house scene, inspired by pioneers like Frankie Knuckles and Carl Cox. He established Basement Records as a platform for his music, free from commercial constraints, focusing on the raw and unfiltered energy of underground house music. This ethos is also reflected in his Basement Sessions, a club series in Oslo dedicated to celebrating the underground sound.

The release of Panda marks another significant step in Field’s journey. Across nine distinct, meticulously produced house tracks – including collaborations with Delphi Drive, Blichfedlt and others – Field invites you into his deeply personal yet highly relatable world.

He comments:

“I am truly grateful for being able to express myself through music, and seeing peo-ple dance and smile to my tracks is a true joy. It makes the countless hours in the studio worthwhile. Two months ago the album was a total of 17 tracks and after back and forth between the studio and club, I landed on nine that I am very happy with.”

With Panda landing this summer and residencies in Norway at clubs like Skagum, Jæger, and Natt, he continues to be a driving force in the house scene. His commitment to creating immersive musical experiences ensures that Field remains a vital creator in electronic music.
