Grand Agent & NAME Premiere Their “Can’t Say Love Enough” Music Video

It’s truly a special day for Grand Agent and his cohorts in NAME. The hip-hop trio debuts today their first-ever music video for their latest single “Can’t Say Love Enough.” This year marks 30 years since the formation of NAME in Philadelphia. It perhaps took longer than expected, but the group has come through with a truly memorable video clip. The soulful vibes come aplenty with this trio of men, with more to come on their upcoming album. The record will be titled I Survived The Crack Era, and it will be released later this year.

The guys composed “Can’t Say Love Enough” fully with the intention of writing an anthem. They unequivocally accomplished that with a song that celebrates community spirit and is a true illustration of why Philly is known as the city of brotherly love. That’s what the video was designed to emphasize. There is a kinship and unity that ties the city together. It’s no wonder why the song is being considered to become an official anthem for Philadelphia.

Elaborating on “Can’t Say Love Enough” and its video, the group remarks:

“The song is for the culture, but the video shows the parallels of how the larger society operates. The obvious point with the song is that violence is modelled from the top down. This tends to be overlooked when we discuss gun violence among our youth, or Blacks, or whoever.”

Each member of NAME maintains a longstanding dedication to social change and activism. Grand Agent and his colleagues Mr. Cisum and Old Man have all demonstrated unparalleled dedication to their hometown over the last three decades. Grant Agent, aka Mazzie Casher, acts as the Executive Director of The Philly Truce Foundation. Through community engagement and education, he has been an enormous contributor to helping reduce violence in Philadelphia. Mr. Cisum, aka Larry Fowler, has been a longtime sound designer, producer, and a prominent figure in the theatre community. Old Man, aka Ozzie Jones, is a highly acclaimed director and playwright.

NAME is all about positivity. And in a time where positivity is at a premium, we could all use more artists and people like these three men.
