Baker Grace Wins ‘Best Song’ for “BUTTERFLIES” at 2024 Hollywood Independent Music Awards

Canada’s own Baker Grace took home the award for “Best Song” last Thursday (07.18) at the Hollywood Independent Music Awards (HIMAwards) for “Butterflies.” (Full list of winners can be found here.)

Co-produced by GhostRocket, the HIMAwards took place Thursday evening at the world-famous Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles, where Grace put on a show-stopping performance for a full house.

Sharing the stage with other exciting acts Reyna Roberts, Jessy Fury, KIA, and The Midnight Cowgirls, it was a performance and evening that is sure to be remembered for years to come and was followed by Grace’s landmark win for Best Song.

On her HIMAward win and playing to a full Avalon Theatre, Baker Grace comments:

“I’m really grateful to have received this award and been recognized amongst all the other incredible independent artists. This is my tenth year of releasing music and it’s been a lot of ups and downs but getting to do what I love everyday makes it all worth it. Special thanks to Brent and Luke for putting this event together, as well as my manager Howie Rosen for always believing in me.”

The Canadian presence at the HIMAwards was strong this year. The HIMAwards are a true celebration of global talent and Canada was a major cultural contributor at this year’s ceremony. Baker Grace’s live performance and win for Best Song, memyself&vi’s win for Best Female Vocal, LOSTBOYJAY’s win for Best EDM Song and multiple other Canadian nominees. Moreover, there were major players in the Canadian music industry in attendance to celebrate as well, including members of Global Affairs Canada and SOCAN.
