Leanne Gallati – “Party For One” [Song Review]
With “Party For One,” Leanne Gallati spotlights her versatile voice with its vampy confidence and beaucoup flair.
Long Island via Brooklyn singer-songwriter Leanne Gallati has released her new single, “Party For One,” a breakup song with a unique perspective. Rather than focusing on emotional angst and despair, Gallati unveils a sense of satisfied liberty.
Gallati explains, “This song serves as a reminder that you can accomplish anything on your own and that no one should be able to tell you how to live your life.”
Influenced by Amy Winehouse, No Doubt, Sammy Rae & the Friends, HAIM, and Lake Street Dive, Galatti’s sound merges flavours of pop, jazz, and rock with thick, syrupy dollops of sass.
“Party For One” blends jazz and funk into a delicious melody riding a tight groove as low, braying brass hovers and then glides slickly over skiffing guitars. Gallati’s vocals, at once sultry and a bit ruthless, reveal a sense of relief and welcome deliverance, infusing the lyrics with wicked panache.
With “Party For One,” Leanne Gallati spotlights her versatile voice with its vampy confidence and beaucoup flair.
