Diana Zaheer – “Judgment City” [Song Review]
Simultaneously cathartic and tranquil, with “Judgement City,” Diana Zaheer subdues the turbulence of deep thoughts and emotions.

Spiritual teacher and inner work expert, Diana Zaheer joins forces with Lincoln Parish and designer Marina Loeb on the single/music video “Judgment City,” a track from her album, Over The Counter Meditations.
Utilizing her mesmeric voice, Zaheer guides listeners in healing their inner self-judgment, diminishing the universal perspective of being our own worst critics, thereby immobilizing our creativity, potential, and growth.
Zaheer’s gentle, spoken words immerse us in the clarifying energy of ancient truths, enabling us to explore and pursue a voyage of self-discovery and personal transformation.
The video, created by Loeb, is an animated work of art that merges perfectly with the production of Grammy-nominated Parish, known for his work with Cage the Elephant, which began at the age of 15.
Parish co-wrote and played guitar on the band’s 2011 breakout album, Thank You Happy Birthday, and co-wrote and played guitar on the band’s 2013 Grammy-nominated album, Melophobia. He served as the band’s lead guitarist from their formation in 2005 until 2014, when he left on good terms to pursue a career in producing.
Traveling on gentle, sparkling layers of coloration, “Judgement City” features crisp percussion and an undulating, rolling motion. Zaheer’s soft yet firm voice imbues the words with almost mystical tones that narrate a tale of revelation, encouragement, and interior change, change that releases the listener from self-bondage.
Simultaneously cathartic and tranquil, with “Judgement City,” Diana Zaheer subdues the turbulence of deep thoughts and emotions.
