Olie Beckett – “Heartbeat” [Song Review]
Embracing contagious pop flavors, Olie Beckett fashions “Heartbeat” into a stylish, infectiously vibrant pop song.

Emerging artist Olie Beckett unveils the music video for his single, “Heartbeat,” a song celebrating the exhilarating feeling of falling love. The song was written and produced by Phoenix Stone.
Describing his creative process, Beckett says, “It is all about the five senses when it comes to songwriting. The creative process sparkles after mixing your own personality into a genre or song you created.”
Beckett started his musical journey singing in church, which quickly evolved into a passion for songwriting and mastering piano. Inspired by his vocal teacher, Melissa, who opened his eyes to the world of theatrics, Beckett learned to infuse his music with emotion. He also cites Mr. B for vocal coaching and introducing him to the world of composition.
With the release of his first three singles, “Free,” “Heartbeat,” and “Entertaining,” Olie Beckett established himself as a rising tour de force in pop music.
“Heartbeat” unfolds atop a lush bassline, upbeat textures, and bright harmonies. There’s a captivating retro charm to Beckett’s high tenor, infusing the lyrics with yummy tonal surfaces. The video adds to the buoyant mood of the song, depicting him in the mundanity of a laundromat, which quickly transforms into a romantic dance floor dream-like setting.
