Braille Eyes Premiere Their Hard-Rocking Debut Single, “Wonder Why”
California based Braille Eyes have announced their debut EP ‘Please Know That It Cut Me To The Bone’ and premiered the single, “Wonder Why.”
California based Braille Eyes have announced their debut EP Please Know That It Cut Me To The Bone for an October 28th release. Today, V13 is giving you the first listen from the band with their single “Wonder Why.” Drenched in layers of distortion, melodic vocals and alternative rock energy, you can even hear small influences stemming from doom and experimental favorites on “Wonder Why.”
The duo is composed of Orange County, CA friends Matthew Blair and Bob Bradley, who respectively have played in multiple hardcore, metal and punk bands over the years. Bradley also currently plays with the SoCal groups Fake Figures, Cassetta and Blair found early success with his groups Perish and Kansas City Gunfight.
Bob Bradley comments, noting:
“Writing this music is a great way to show off my obsession with heavy rock riffs and big choruses. Working with Matthew has been awesome and he brings his massive voice, smart lyrics and talent to the table with this upcoming EP. I wanted to give a huge shout out to Tony, Ben and John Terry (who mixed the song and EP) for helping bring this to life. Expect some additional news on the band shortly, and thanks for your support V13 and any listeners out there!”
For “Wonder Why” and the EP, Braille Eyes teamed up with friend and co-writer/producer Tony Kim of Dance with the Dead and Ben Flannigan, vocalist of Black Map. Listeners of bands like Loathe, Deftones, Chevelle, should feel right at home with Braille Eyes, and “Wonder Why” drops 10/18 on streaming.
