LA-based indie-pop singer-songwriter Ashlynn Malia returns with her newest single, “Midas,” on which she bluntly lays her desires out on the table. Speaking on her new single, Malia wrote plainly: “‘Midas’ is about…how I like it.” “Midas” and the rest of her catalogue are now available on all DSPs; check her out on your favourite one HERE.

The release of the sexually charged “Midas” follows Malia’s other recent drops, “Cool Girl,” “Nobody Else,” and “Feels So Good.” Together, the three tracks usher in her self-described “ethereal pop era” and point toward what’s to come in the wake of her recently released EP entitled navigating galaxies. With the EP, made up of a collection of voice memos, she strove to further her connection with her listeners, saying, “I write about connection and I write to connect with people.”

Ashlynn Malia provides a portal to her inner world through the music she creates. Using songwriting as a way to understand how her own mind works, Ashlynn Malia is a multi-faceted artist with an unparalleled vocal range and a captivating stage presence. She is inspired by artists such as Lorde and FKA Twigs and sets herself apart with her deeply personal and honest storytelling through her music.

Her debut EP titled rather be alone was released on June 25, 2021. It includes “desperate,” which can be heard in an episode of The Stand on CBS, as well as multiple dance films and movement visuals. She has come a long way since then. Check out “Midas” now, and Stay tuned for more coming soon from Ashlynn Malia later this year.
