hunter & wolfe Unveil Their Newest Single/Video, “Last Time”

On June 14th, hunter & wolfe, the indie-rock duo made up of Michael Maffei and Sundeep Kapur, released “Last Time,” the second single from their forthcoming album titled I deserve this., out later this year. The single keeps what the album embraces at the forefront; both the seriousness and self-awareness to never take themselves too seriously. Sonically, though, the single is solid with its influences from the likes of Elliot Smith and St. Vincent, among other indie-rockers.

Commenting on the song, the band shares:

“‘Last Time’ is about all the things I tell myself I’ll get to tomorrow: the same things I told myself the night before. It’s not so much about procrastination as it is an obsession with achievement; the desire to be ‘productive’ – whatever that really means.”
