Owen Hamlin unveiled the video for his latest single, “Swimming In Your Sea,” a tune he holds close to his heart and sees as one of his strongest to date. He comments:

“The lyrics of ‘Swimming In Your Sea’ mean a lot to me. This is just about my favorite song that I’ve written. It captured a moment in time for my friends, peers, and myself. There are themes in the lyrics like coming of age, and a loss of innocence or naïvety. However, what the main lyric ‘Swimming In Your Sea’ means to me I’d rather not say. It’s a bit abstract and therefore gives room for the listener to dream about what it could mean to them.”

During the song’s recording, it went through many different incarnations, resulting in no dead weight or filler, only what is absolutely essential to the song. The single’s accompanying video was made, “by the grace of God,” according to Owen Hamlin.

He elaborates, stating:

“I was at my cousin’s wedding and sat at a table for the dinner reception. I had been sat next to a guy named Terence Digan, the ‘Swimming In Your Sea’ Music Video director to be. It turns out Terence is my cousin’s cousin on the other side. We got to talking about film and art. I was impressed with Terence. Subsequently, I asked to see some of Terence’s work in film. I then discovered that he also made music videos. One thing led to another and this is how the process of making the ‘Swimming In Your Sea’ Music Video began.”
