New Jersey-bred, NYC-based singer/songwriter/actor Steph Amoroso, is back with a new song called “Comin’ Home”! After releasing a string of pop/dance singles over the years, she is working on a new batch of music showcasing another side of her sound, with more announcements to come! These new songs come after her 2021 sold-out debut show at The Bitter End in NYC (where she’s continued to play regularly).

“Comin’ Home” is a perfect re-introduction to Steph Amoroso and her powerful vocals. The track immediately grips you when she sings, “Doesn’t life seem funny/ when you stop and look around/ flashing back to who you were/ before you left this town?” Cooing backing vocals give way as the song kicks into all its guitar-driven pop-country glory. It’s the kind of song you blast when out on a drive with your best friends, voices hoarse from screaming the lyrics at the top of your lungs.

Amoroso breaks it down here:

“‘Comin’ Home’ was inspired by a group of friends I’ve had since I was 15 and explores the nostalgic feeling for a particular time in my life growing up when I felt invincible. When it didn’t matter what happened next, because being in the moment was what mattered. And while it can be hard to return to the places where I experienced those memories, as I can never go back to that time, it also serves as a beautiful reminder of how lucky I was, and how lucky I still am to carry those memories, and, in my case, the people who made them with me, into the future.”

After graduating from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in musical theater, Steph Amoroso joined the cast of Punchdrunk’s critically acclaimed off-Broadway hit Sleep No More, where you could find her regularly haunting the floors of the hotel as a resident, or singing with the jazz band as her alter ego, “Lola.” She was also a regular headlining act, singing in the ballroom for Halloween, New Year’s Eve, and Mayfair parties from 2016-2019.
