London-based singer-songwriter Bessie Deakin released her new single “Magic Man” on 12th April, a track combining timeless storytelling and unique artistry.

Bessie has created a mysterious, romantic storyline with her previous singles, “Lady Red” and “Mr Blue.” Her music encapsulates the listener into their romantic world and the past, present and future events that seem to pull them towards each other. Her next single, “Magic Man,” takes us away from her previous singles “Lady Red” and “Mr Blue” and into a world of summer magic and playful metaphors. “Magic Man” is a chilled jazz-infused ballad about the initial attraction and excitement you feel for someone and leaves the listener wondering what Bessie’s next releases will be about both in terms of style and storyline.

Bessie Deakin has a unique vocal style which has been compared to the likes of Kate Bush and Stevie Nicks. Her broad vocal ability compliments each of her singles, varying from love ballads to more upbeat tracks. The enigmatic title of her EP Lady Red has been described as being “easily imagined on a Tarantino movie or perhaps James Bond credits.”

“Magic Man” is a warm, soothing ballad accompanied by Bessie’s clean vocals. The song features soft keys as well as a gentle drum pattern, creating a mellow and warm feel for the listener. The song also includes a charismatic guitar solo which adds a pleasant, smooth touch to the track.

Bessie has a lot of exciting live shows in 2023, including The Half Moon in Putney on 7th June and 19th July. Find out more info here: https://www.bessiedeakinmusic.com.
