Ellakate released her alternative pop single “I Wanna Fall in Love for the Night” on February 24th, 2023. The beautiful ballad expresses her longing to experience love yet the fear of being hurt. One of the most touching lyrics reads, “I wanna fall in love for the night, without the consequence of time.” The lyric describes the beauty and passion of the beginning of a relationship that, after time, can turn into sadness, hurt, or distance. Inspired by her longing to feel a loving coexistence, ellakate also expresses her fear of what time could do to that love.

Ella Greenbaum, artistically known as ellakate, is an alternative pop singer-songwriter born, raised and based in Atlanta, Georgia. Growing up with musical parents and a knack for creating and performing, ellakate found a passion for music that went beyond forcing her brothers to listen to her melodies as a child. “When my dad first explained what the song ‘Brandy’ by Looking Glass was about, I discovered the magic of storytelling in song writing. I have been singing and making up songs for as long as I can remember,” said ellakate about her innate talents.
