Sam Feldt – “Enough To Drink” [Song Review]
Highlighted by the swanky tones of Cate Downey, Sam Feldt’s “Enough To Drink” (Sony Music) delivers graceful, glamorous sonic flavours.

Dutch DJ Sam Feldt drops his new dance-pop single, “Enough To Drink,” featuring vocalist Cate Downey.
Talking about the track, the first of a series of singles set for release over the next few months, Feldt shares, “It’s great being in the studio working on my own material again. Every song that is on our upcoming schedule has live elements – guitars, pianos, horns. It’s an essential aspect of my creativity at the moment and I’m excited for my fans to hear the music that is emerging right now.”
He goes on, “Cate is this great writer from L.A., and I found one of her Capella’s on TikTok. I knew immediately it would make a great track. So, I reached out to her and asked if she was willing to share the stems so I could make a proper track out of it and she said yes. I love the result!”
With more than 1 billion streams on Spotify and over 12 million monthly listeners, Feldt’s creative, contagious sound appeals to listeners worldwide. His previous hits include “Post Malone,” featuring RANI, “Way Back Home” with Conor Maynard, and “Follow Me” with Rita Ora.
“Enough To Drink” opens on Downey’s deliciously vibrant voice riding a syncopated rhythm topped by kaleidoscopic textures of tasty dance-pop surfaces, simultaneously shimmering and percolating with alluring coloration. The combination of stylish harmonic veneers and Downey’s plush, evocative vocals imbue the tune with captivating value.
“Did u drink enough to miss me / Or did u miss me enough to drink?”
