Michigan extreme metal band See You Next Tuesday have unleashed their newest single “Why Can’t You Behave.”
A two-minute long frenzy of blast beats, odd time signatures, and everything else you could ask for in a techy grindcore song, “Why Can’t You Behave” serves as the second song shared from the band’s highly-anticipated new album, Distractions, set for release February 17th via Good Fight Music.
Check out the single here:
The band also has a string of shows in the midwest this week and will hit the east coast in late February with Bandit, full dates below. A second-pressing of Distractions is available for pre-order now through Good Fight Music, after the first vinyl launch sold out in just a few days.
Expanding on the writing and recording process for the album, guitarist Drew Slavik states:
“The writing process was amazing! I wrote in my home studio or in my head and recorded everything as it progressed. Being a mailman, I walk 8 miles a day, and I was able to listen and critique each song, every step of the way, pushing myself as a player, writer and producer even further than ever before. My main goal musically was to write something different. I never really shot for the ‘best’ because that is so arbitrary, however, I strived to be unfamiliar in a sense, not just with the music, but the overall sound as well.”
