The fastest-growing MMA organization in the world, Brave CF has added a monumental fight for the BRAVE Serbia International Combat Week headliner, BRAVE CF 69

BRAVE Combat Federation has added a huge co-main event bout to its second trip to Belgrade, as part of the BRAVE Serbia International Combat Week. On February 18, BRAVE CF 69 goes down with the Heavyweights in action as Darko Stosic takes on undefeated Shamil Gaziev.

Looking to add the biggest win of his career to his undefeated professional record is Bahrain’s Shamil Gaziev. He has had a near-perfect run in the amateur scene in 2019, winning the European, African, and Asian IMMAF championships, and earning a bronze medal in the Worlds.

Since turning pro, he has continued to run through competition, piling up nine wins in as many outings. Shamil is coming off an impressive second-round KO in his BRAVE CF debut, a win that earned him a nomination for 2022 KO of The Year at the BRAVE CF End of Year awards.

Holding a pro record of 17 wins and 4 losses, Stosic is currently ranked as the number one Heavyweight in the United States, as well as holding a top-3 place in the Eastern European and Polish rankings. He will count on the support of his home fans to extend his winning streak to two against Gaziev.

BRAVE CF 69 is headlined by a world title fight as interim Lightweight champion Abdisalam Kubanychbek looks to unify the 155-pound crown when he meets top contender Kamil Magomedov. Also set for fight night is the return of Aleksandar Ilic, one of Serbia’s best fighters, as well as a huge fight at a Catchweight of 64kg between two of the brightest young stars in Europe as Borislav Nikolic defends the land against France’s Yannis Ghemmouri.

The professional event hosted by BRAVE CF in association with the Serbian MMA Federation will headline the first-ever edition of the BRAVE International Combat Week outside of Bahrain. Between February 11 and February 18, the BRAVE Serbia International Combat Week is expected to host the biggest IMMAF World Championships to date in what will become the biggest combat sports festival in Europe.

I have an unhealthy obsession with bad horror movies, the song Wanted Dead Or Alive and crap British game shows. I do this not because of the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll lifestyle it affords me but more because it gives me an excuse to listen to bands that sound like hippos mating.
