Masked Misfits BLACKGOLD are back with new single “Boogeyman”, which is accompanied by a spooky video in an abandoned ‘Stranger Things’ style mansion. The video sees the anonymous five explore the inside of the house, but one by one they fall victim to the ‘upside down’.

Speaking about the “Boogeyman”, the anonymous quintet explain:

“‘Boogeyman’ is about that person that haunts your dreams. They have full control over you within your subconscious and it feels like you can’t escape.”

Following the release of their previous single “On Another Level”, BLACKGOLD picked up a huge amount of online traction on TikTok and caught the attention of over 1.5 million viewers which included Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst. Along with a huge surge in fans and streaming numbers, the band were also invited on tour by Durst and will now join Limp Bizkit on their rescheduled, sold out EU/UK Spring tour in March and April alongside fellow Brits Wargasm.

I have an unhealthy obsession with bad horror movies, the song Wanted Dead Or Alive and crap British game shows. I do this not because of the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll lifestyle it affords me but more because it gives me an excuse to listen to bands that sound like hippos mating.
