headcage is an alternative post-hardcore group from Newcastle Upon Tyne who’ve released three singles in 2022, the latest, “talk more,” being their fourth. Their music pays homage to the styles and sounds that shaped their musical endeavours but doesn’t shy away from heavy, low-tuned riffs while remaining controlled, melodic and teeming with melancholic lyrical content.
Frontman Leyam Pattison comments on the new track, stating:
“Thematically, the song talks about the importance of communication. I drew from past experiences in my personal life and formed lyrical ideas based around how important it is to talk through issues with the people around you. Despite deriving my lyrical ideas from personal experience, I wanted to write in a broader style, to lay out the lyrics in a way that those who listen to it could perhaps envision in their own way and derive their own meaning and message from them.”
Show Dates:
Saturday 19th November – York, The Fulford Arms w/Foxhaunt
Thursday 29th December – Newcastle, The Cluny w/ The Casino Brawl
