Influenced by funk, pop and jazz, rising French alt-indie quartet Later. want to take you to a place where everything is softer, more serene, far from the daily effervescence, a world in which dreams and reality merge.

With a handful of acclaimed EPs and singles under their belts already, the French outfit is currently at work on their first album which they reveal should see release in March 2023 through Cookie Records. In the meantime, the band have just posted new music in the form of the intimate new single “Woman.”

Speaking about the track, the band say: “‘Woman’ is a piano-voice track that is intimate, powerful, and highly filled with emotions. The kind of song that gives goosebumps from the first seconds. As much for its musicality as for its message.”

On the inspiration behind the track, the band explains:

“The lyrics deal with the passion we can feel for someone that can sometimes turn to obsession and madness. It is as much tribute to love as it is a real admission of weakness or even fear of relationships.”

Look out for more new music from Later. when they release their new album in 2023.

I have an unhealthy obsession with bad horror movies, the song Wanted Dead Or Alive and crap British game shows. I do this not because of the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll lifestyle it affords me but more because it gives me an excuse to listen to bands that sound like hippos mating.
