Premiere: Let Norrsköld’s Dramatic New Single Take You “Beyond The Night”
Swedish metallers Norrsköld premiere new single “Beyond The Night” taken from upcoming new album ‘Prisma Aeternus’. Check it out here…
Emerging from the cold forests of Sweden, Norrsköld, who began as a studio project in 2013 by Henrik Bodin-Skold, are set to release their new album, Prisma Aeternus, on November 7th, 2022.
Mixing atmospheric black metal with melodic death/folk metal and picking up comparisons to Dissection, early In Flames and Emperor, the Swedish band has headed in a new direction on their new album. A direction which you can hear as we premiere their brilliant new single, “Beyond The Night.”
Taken from their upcoming third album Prisma Aeternus, a concept album which gives a dystopian observation of the rise and fall of mankind in relation to the evolution and destruction of Earth, the track provides a taster of a more melodic direction, although the band has promised the album will also feature some of their heaviest material to date.
Speaking about “Beyond The Night,” Norrsköld told us:
“The song ‘Beyond the Night’ was one of the first songs written for the new album Prisma Aeternus. The aim of the new songs has been to focus more on melodies and straightforward catchiness while maintaining the classical Norrsköld atmosphere. Lyrically the song fits into the overall theme of the album, depicting the fall of mankind as failed rulers of a world we keep on devastating.”
Norrsköld released Prisma Aternus independently on November 7th, 2022, and you can find out more here.
