Raleigh, North Carolina-based metalcore quintet DISCOΛERIES just unveiled a great example of how heavy they can get; check out the new single/video, “Tunnel Vision.”

Commenting on the song, which fights the feeling that death and suicide are the only options, vocalist Chris Winterholler shares:

“I wrote the lyrics to ‘Tunnel Vision’ at a very dark time in my life. I could barely get out of bed most days and really just considered just ending it right then hence the lyrics in the intro ‘everything feels so dead, when can I put this bullet it my head?’ What really kept me going was this band and the loved ones around me, although I still felt like my life wasn’t where I wanted it to be, and I’ll reference the line in the chorus, ‘My whole life has been a disgrace, how can I rid my mouth of this bitter taste?’ The song title itself represents the way depression can warp your view of reality. The video itself represents the contemplation of suicide and begging death to take away the pain that is caused by depression.”
