Ginger Wildheart & The Sinners Premiere Their Lovely “Lately, Always” Single/Video
Ginger Wildheart & The Sinners tease their forthcoming self-titled album (Wicked Cool Records) with the brand new single and music video, “Lately, Always.”
Few rock n’ roll musicians come to mind who you can say work harder and accomplish more in the process than Ginger Wildheart. From single to single, album to album, tour to tour, and project to project, this man consistently delivers the goods. And, just when you think you’ve heard the latest from Wildheart, he surprises you with new music, like today, with the unveiling of Ginger Wildheart & The Sinners’ brand new single and music video for “Lately, Always.”
The song will be included on an upcoming self-titled album that’s been given an October 7th release date via Little Steven Van Zandt’s Wicked Cool Records. Ginger and his Sinners’ bandmates have been hard at work on this new record since forming in the summer of 2019, so it is with great satisfaction that they now have the pleasure of unveiling it to the world.
“Lately, Always” is a nice upbeat, folksy rocking, singalong-inducing tune that will appeal to longtime, or even new, Ginger fans. When asked about the song, he told us:
“‘Lately, Always’ is about a dream. Not necessarily one that will come true but enough to have something to look forward to, especially when times seem a little hopeless.”
Ginger isn’t the only well-known member of The Sinners, with the band also including Neil Ivison and Nick Lyndon of Stone Mountain Sinners. The three were ready to plow forward, but before doing so, they needed a drummer to match their immense talents. They found one in Shane Dixon of Tri-City Fanfare. Interestingly enough, they all met at the studio where they recorded the album, having never even rehearsed before setting their gear up in the studio. It was a unique but daring way of starting a band and one that couldn’t have worked out any better.
The chemistry was instant, and Ginger has helped deliver, yet again, a very memorable moment in his equally memorable recording career that has been going now for 30 years strong. You never know what you’re going to get music-wise from Ginger, but you can rest assured of one thing: it’s always going to be a solid offering worthy of your attention.
