Returning after a two-year break, Download Festival has announced a further fourteen acts to an already stacked card set to be headlined by KISS, Iron Maiden and Biffy Clyro.

Heading up the announcement for the rock weekender which takes place from June 10th to 12th, organisers have today announced the return of the mighty Skindred who have landed a slot on the Main Stage on Friday.

Having been one of the acts who performed at the Download Pilot in 2021, Skindred are unsurprisingly excited about their return. “Playing the Download pilot after being locked down for a year and a half was an amazing experience so being invited back to our favourite festival and spiritual home to play alongside the likes of KISS and Maiden is a dream come true. Plus we have some amazing rockin’ new tunes which we cannot wait for you all to hear.”

The full list of acts added to the bill reads as follows:

Skindred
Heriot
Yonaka
Kid Brunswick
SKYND
Will Haven
The Velveteers
Alestorm
Dana Dentata
Orbit Culture
Red Fang
Banks Arcade
Dirty Honey

The full Download experience makes a welcome return to the rock calendar in June 2022 after a two-year absence and you can check out our coverage of the Government-sanctioned Download Festival Pilot which took place earlier this Summer right here.

Tickets and more information can be found on the Official Download Festival Website.

Poster for Download Festival 2022

I have an unhealthy obsession with bad horror movies, the song Wanted Dead Or Alive and crap British game shows. I do this not because of the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll lifestyle it affords me but more because it gives me an excuse to listen to bands that sound like hippos mating.
