While everyone is adjusting to uncertain times right now and finding the best way forward, Bloodstock is choosing to remain positive and keen to be reunited with the best metal community next summer. With that in mind, organisers have revealed five more bands joining the Sophie Lancaster stage line-up next August, and another five bands re-confirmed from 2020 for 2021.

Joining the fun on the Sophie Lancaster stage on Friday, are Spanish blackened death metal crew, Noctem. The respected group released their latest, fifth album, The Black Consecration, via Art Gates Records last November. Joining them on the Friday will be Merseyside headbangers Deified who will be promoting their acclaimed Anthrobscene album.

Additionally, Welsh blackened metalheads Agrona are added to Friday’s bill having spent lockdown working on their new album, Straeon Gwerin. Last but not least on the Friday, the epic, melodic doom of Garganjua will fill the air as the band arrive at Bloodstock in support of their Fallen and the last album Toward The Sun. Finally, rounding out the new bands announced for 2021, Brighton beasts King Goat add their progressive doom to the Sophie stage on Saturday.

Further to the new additions, organisers have also confirmed that five more previously announced acts for 2020, Exhumed, Necrot, Idle Hands, Viscera and Savage Master have all been re-booked for 2021’s event.

Bloodstock 2021 takes place at Catton Park, Derbyshire from 11th-15th August 2021. For more info and ticket details, visit the Official Bloodstock Website.

I have an unhealthy obsession with bad horror movies, the song Wanted Dead Or Alive and crap British game shows. I do this not because of the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll lifestyle it affords me but more because it gives me an excuse to listen to bands that sound like hippos mating.
