It’s the start of another week in lockdown here at V13, so here’s a bunch of new songs to get you through the next seven days. If you want to be featured in next week’s column, send us links to your latest tracks and videos now! Otherwise, sit back and enjoy ten new songs to help you through another week. 01. Exocrine – “Maelstrom”
– Bordeaux, France-based masters of technical death metal Exocrine have announced the release of new album Maelstrom on June 26 via Unique Leader. The band have also released the music video for the title-track which you can check out here:

02. Single By Sunday – “Debbie”
– Following the release of the single, Scotland’s Single By Sunday have released the totally DIY video for the colourful “Debbie” and you can check it out here:

03. Young States – “Save Yourself”
– Norwich-based trio Young States have released their broody new single “Save Yourself”, a track which came about after the group dove headfirst into writing a clutch of new songs.

04. Covet – “Nero”
– Bay Area outfit Covet return with their sophomore album, technicolor, on June 5 through Triple Crown Records and you can check out a taster here.

05. Sometime The Wolf – “Ashes”
Sometime The Wolf have shared the video for their single “Ashes”. The track is taken from their debut album From Here And Earth, which they released earlier this year..

06. Glorious Sons – “Don’t Live Fast”
– Like many bands, Glorious Sons have had to cancel their touring plans due to the coronavirus pandemic, howevever, you can check out their reflective new track “Don’t Live Fast” here.

07. Henry Green – “Realign”
– After recently announcing his new album Half Light is due June 12th via Akira Records, Bristol-based artist Henry Green is sharing a new video for lead single “Realign”.

08. On Sight – “Cause of Pain”
– New Jersey metallic hardcore outfit, On Sight, have debuted the title track from their upcoming record Cause of Pain which is due out April 24 via Unbeaten Records.

09. Ohnova – “Nobody Move”
– Drawing comparisons to the likes of Queens Of The Stone Age through to Don Broco, Scottish power trio Ohnova have just revealed their ultra-magnetic new single and video, “Nobody Move”.

10. Dead Lakes – “Close 2 Me”
– Pacific Northwest outfit Dead Lakes have announced that they have signed to SharpTone Records. With that, their forthcoming EP, New Language, will be released to fans on May 1, 2020 and you can check out a new track, “Close 2 Me”.

I have an unhealthy obsession with bad horror movies, the song Wanted Dead Or Alive and crap British game shows. I do this not because of the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll lifestyle it affords me but more because it gives me an excuse to listen to bands that sound like hippos mating.
