Blakk Mantra’s New “Donna Juanita” Video Connects People Amidst Social Distancing

Denver, CObased duo Blakk Mantra, comprised of Johnny Noble and Amber Leigh, have released a new music video for their single “Donna Juanita.” As one of two singles featured in their recent EP release, Where There’s Smoke, There’s Dope, “Donna Juanita” is a heavy-hitting alternative rock song featuring a fuzzed-out bass line that will take hold of the listener and keep feet tapping (or jumping!) through the whole song. Accompanying the bass line are some groovy guitar riffs and Noble’s smooth and enchanting vocals, leading to one hell of a dance party featuring dancers from around the world.

Shot completely in a virtual setting, dancers around the world submitted their videos to join in the virtual dance party for “Donna Juanita.” “The dancers are underground dancers from all over the world. The song is the personification of finding your passion, so I put it in the perspective of a relationship. It made sense then to have a worldwide dance party to celebrate these moments where we’re reminded that it’s beautiful to be alive,” said Amber Leigh.

The video showcases how truly beautiful it is to be alive with dancers from different parts of the world with completely different backgrounds and lifestyles doing something they’re all passionate about. It embodies the song’s sentiment of bravely chasing your passion and connecting with others who also share your passion, and comes as a way to virtually connect in the midst of the world’s social distancing.

Blakk Mantra is comprised of Johnny Noble and Amber Leigh, both hailing from Denver, CO. Having been a band for 6 years now, their newest releases mark a rebirth for Blakk Mantra heading in a new direction.
