Producer and remixer Adrian Sherwood is commonly referred to as the UK godfather of dub, and also happens to be the owner and founder of the revered record label On-U Sound. Well, with a forty-year career to his name, Sherwood has now confirmed a handful of UK/EU shows including a show at The Jazz Café on Friday, February 21st. The performance will be a live audio/visual show celebrating his 35-year adventure with Lee “Scratch” Perry.

The unmissable performance will include visuals from long-time collaborator Peter Harris with support from DJ and producer Gaudi and guest MC the great Daddy Freddy.

Sherwood spoke of his legacy, saying, “Someone once described me as just a fan who’d got his hands on a mixing desk, they were probably trying to be nasty, but I took it as a compliment – that’s exactly what I am!” He also shared, “Music is lovely because it stimulates people, superficial music doesn’t. If you make something that you put your heart and soul into and really try to push it so it leaps out the speakers at you, and if there’s a good feel to it, then you’ve achieved something.”
