Trivium Confirm New Album ‘What The Dead Men Say’ and Unveil Lead Single “Catastrophist”
Trivium are back with their ninth studio recording, What The Dead Men Say! The revered Floridian metal quartet—frontman Matt Heafy, guitarist Corey Beaulieu, bassist Paolo Gregoletto, and drummer Alex Bent—will release their new ten-track studio recording on April 24th, via Roadrunner Records. If that’s not good enough for you eager fans, well, the guys delivered the news along with the lead single “Catastrophist,” for which a music video also debuted online.
Commenting on the album, Heafy noted, “What The Dead Men Say is everything that is Trivium. On this album, one can hear the proper ingredients of past, present, and future Trivium. The Trivium sound is having everything the band does — on one album.”
Gregoletto added, “With the new album, we took what worked on the The Sin And The Sentence and dialled it up to 11” while Beaulieu confirmed, “We wanted to build on the foundation that we established with the last album. The record has all the elements that are Trivium — along with all of us wanting to keep pushing ourselves creatively. This led to a highly-inspired and fast-paced writing and recording process that really captures the energy of the band.”
More album details can be found just below, along with the massive list of 2020 tour dates which sees Trivium spend most of the year out on the road as direct support to both Megadeth and Lamb of God.
