Jordan Mackampa is a British-Congolese musician armed with some of the catchiest alt-soul you’re going to hear this year. With his debut full-length album Foreignerout out March 13th via AWAL, Mackampa continues to promote the new tunes and today shared the music video for his single “Magic.” The Tom Ewbank-filmed and directed video was shot in an underpass in South London and features choreography from Taali Kwaten.

Commenting on the track, Mackampa said, “This is a bossa nova and samba-infused feel good kinda track about when you can’t get someone off your mind. You’ve had one taste and you want more!”

Mackampa also recently announced his first headlining North American tour, dates for which can be found below including a stop at SXSW. Get your tickets heretickets here. According to a recent press release, the artist’s music, “…swim in the sounds and stories of the cities he’s inhabited over the years. His searing songs are documents of his life as an outsider, and his sound is a melting pot of cultures that stretch from his birthplace in the Republic of Congo to a hip hop-obsessed childhood in North London to teen years spent immersed in indie-rock in Coventry, UK.”
