British progressive metal band Monuments have just released a new single called “Animus,” the first new work featuring vocalist Andy Cizek and the reintroduction of drummer Mike Malyan. The video can be viewed below while the song can be streamed/purchased on digital platforms here.

Cizek stated the following about the song, “Hey Y’all, We’re excited to show you our new track ‘Animus’. Lyrically, this song explores overcoming anxiety. Embracing your burdens and letting them flourish into a positive driving force. Thus, these demons became my ‘Animus’. Thanks for listening,”

Monuments parted ways with their well-known vocalist Chris Barretto around the time they released their third studio record Phronesis via Century Media Records this past October, an album that was well-received from critics and fans alike (read our review of Phronesis right here).
