Montreux Jazz Festival has announced the return of two true musical icons to next year’s festival. International superstar Lionel Richie and Lenny Kravitz, one of the preeminent rock musicians of our time, will be performing at the 54th edition of Montreux Jazz Festival.

Lionel Ritchie and Lenny Kravitz are the first artists announced for next year’s festival with many more yet to be announced. Lionel Ritchie will headline Auditorium Stravinski on Wednesday, July 8th and Lenny Kravitz will headline on Monday, July 13th, with tickets on general sale 29 November 2019 at www.montreuxjazzfestival.com.

Both superstars are making their return to Montreal for the Jazz Festival. At his first performance at Montreux Jazz Festival in 2008, Kravitz confided that he was “intimidated by Montreux” and its legacy, before returning seven years later for a liberated, electrifying show in 2015. Kravitz returns to the Montreux Jazz Festival stage in 2020 for what is set to be a truly special night. After a sensational debut in 2000 and a phenomenal performance in 2015, which saw Quincy Jones join on stage, Lionel Richie will return to Montreux Jazz Festival next year. Richie’s shows are world-renowned for their party atmosphere and fans will be able to enjoy timeless mega-hits such as Lady, Dancing on the Ceiling, Say You, Say Me, Hello and All Night Long.

Nestled in the shadows of the stunning Swiss alps alongside beautiful Lake Geneva, Montreux Jazz Festival will be taking place between July 3-18 2020. The festival will be taking place across 11 stages showcasing some of the most iconic performers and exciting new artists from around the globe.

I have an unhealthy obsession with bad horror movies, the song Wanted Dead Or Alive and crap British game shows. I do this not because of the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll lifestyle it affords me but more because it gives me an excuse to listen to bands that sound like hippos mating.
