Finnish Quartet Apocalyptica Confirm Spring 2020 North American Tour Dates
Apocalyptica has confirmed details for the Spring 2020 North American portion of their “Cell-0 World Tour.” The multi-Platinum selling Finnish quartet—which consists of classically-trained cellists Eicca Toppinen, Perttu Kivilaakso, and Paavo Lötjönen, and drummer Mikko Sirén—will hit 20 cities in Canada and the U.S. in a three-week stint supporting their latest release, Cell-0. Supporting on all dates is then renowned Italian metal/rock act, Lacuna Coil.
Cell-0, their first instrumental recording in 17 years, is due out on January 10th, 2020, via Silver Lining Music. It was produced by the band, mixed by Andrew Sheps (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lana Del Rey, Metallica, Black Sabbath), and recorded at Helsinki’s Sonic Pump studio. Sure, cellists are cool, but can they make a whole room headbang? You bet your bottom dollar they can, and will.
