We get a TON of emails every day filled with awesome new music from independent artists all over the world. Most of the time, we get to feature our favorite ones and share them with you guys. But sometimes, we don’t have the time to get to everyone on our list. Check out the bands below to see who we’ve been raving about behind the scenes and why you will be raving about them too!
Song: “Honeyweed”
Who: Summer Salt
Why We Love It: Literally our favorite summer jam yet, “Honeyweed” is an instant classic with its jangly guitars, sun-soaked melodies, and warm vocals. The breezy vocal harmonies and overall musical atmosphere instantly reminds us of a modern twist on the classics that came out of Laurel Canyon in the 60’s. What more can we say?

Song: “Bad Blood”
Who: The Psychedelic Birthday Party
Why We Love It: “Bad Blood”perfectly captures Kevyn van der Linden’s description of his music as ‘ghostly pop for the lost’. Haunting, dark, and dreamy all at once, the song creates a unique blend of alternative pop and melancholic indie. The vintage feel to the video makes “Bad Blood” even more enticing. Give this Dutch songwriter a spin and let us know what you think.
Song: “Roll”
Who: Nikki King
Why We Love It: Pop-star vocals and snappy beats make “Roll” a bop that’s easy to get behind. Nikki King has created an “an unapologetic dance song that captures the wanderlust Coachella culture of living the highs of your best life, falling in love, and getting lost in yourself.”
Song: “Let Me Go”
Who: Chris Varvaro feat. Desanka
Why We Love It: What can only be described as a masterfully produced EDM soundscape, “Let Me Go” layers electronic synths and sounds with the powerhouse vocals of Desanka. Instantly one of our favorite dance tracks of the summer, “Let Me Go” is a jam that should be in all of the DJ’s playlists this year.
Song: “Write it Down”
Who: Speak Easy Circus
Why We Love It: Glasgow band, Speak Easy Circus, captivated us with first with their beautiful accents… but then with their thought-provoking lyrics. Building in musical intensity, “Write it Down” encourages unfiltered communication as it weaves through the simplicities of life and encourages the listener to write it down if it’s important.
