It’s been a rollercoaster ride for Dallas metal band Light The Fire who put out their latest album Compassion In Unlikely Places on January 25, 2019 through Standby Records (pick up your copy right here). Showcasing their new line-up, the album features guitarist Seth Davis who stepped up to the position of lead vocalist with new guitarist/backing vocalist, Trey Hawkins, joining the band.

With a busy Summer of tour dates ahead of them kicking off in just over a week, the band have just dropped their awesome new video for “A Thousand Reasons,” which we’re exclusively premiering today. Check out the track and make sure you get down to one of the dates on their upcoming run!

Talking to PureGrainAudio about the track, vocalist Seth Davis told us: “The song ‘A Thousand Reasons’ is about owning your past mistakes, no matter how shameful, and moving forward to become the best version of yourself that you strive to be. We decided to use the Stranger Things vibe for the video because we felt like it was a great visual metaphor for the duality of people’s personalities. Also, we are all big fans of the show.”

And here’s the artwork for Light The Fire’s latest album Compassion In Unlikely Places:

I have an unhealthy obsession with bad horror movies, the song Wanted Dead Or Alive and crap British game shows. I do this not because of the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll lifestyle it affords me but more because it gives me an excuse to listen to bands that sound like hippos mating.
