Based in Los Angeles, California, hard rockers Badflower are making their debut at Download Festival next weekend so we got the band to answer a few quick questions and found out they’re clearly very excited to be playing.

You’re playing Download Festival next week. What are you most excited about playing?
Badflower: I’m excited about playing our whole set for a giant crowd of people.

What can Download expect from Badflower ?
Badflower: Everyone at Download should expect a great show. We’re stoked to be playing.

What do you know about the history of Castle Donington / Download / Monsters of Rock?
Badflower: I actually know nothing about it… I know Download Festival is HUGE but I don’t know anything else.

In terms of outside Download, have Badflower played any other festivals?
Badflower: Yes, but Download will be our first in the UK!

Expect this kind of thing from Badflower when they play at Download Festival:

What about as a fan… have you ever attended a festival as a fan?
Badflower: Yeah, but not in years.

Will you be hanging around at Download after you have played to check out other bands?
Badflower: Yes, a lot of the bands we play with in the States will be playing Download as well so we’re excited to catch up with our friends.

Slipknot are one of the headliners, what do you think about their new masks?
Badflower: I haven’t seen them but I guess we’ll find out soon.

What advice would you give to a fan going to their first ever Download Festival?
Badflower: Drink lots of water!

If you could put together your own stage at Download, which six bands would you have on it (not including Badflower)?
Badflower: Billie Eilish, Meg Myers, Grandson, Fever 333, Blink 182 and Tears for Fears.

Finally, what are Badflower’s plans for the rest of the Summer?
Badflower: After this, we’re touring across the US with Shinedown!

Badflower released their OK I’m Sick album on February 22, 2019 and you can pick up your copy here.

Here’s another awesome video of Badflower rockin’ out live:

I have an unhealthy obsession with bad horror movies, the song Wanted Dead Or Alive and crap British game shows. I do this not because of the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll lifestyle it affords me but more because it gives me an excuse to listen to bands that sound like hippos mating.
