Today, ahead of the album’s public release, we’re stoked to have teamed with the artist to debut his new tunes to the world. Check out the full SoundCloud stream just below.

Not by choice as he was laid out by serious illness, Schneider spent about two years recording Get The Door which shows in both the music’s quality, attention to detail, and refined rock sound that still retains some of his varied musical influences like hip-hop, folk, and dance. His voice a definite focal point of the music, MOTE regularly emotes, sharing messages of hope, optimism and positivism (even when his songs seem darker).

Speaking of the new album and then single “Ravens,” MOTE notes: “I had no way of knowing what I was stepping into when I started writing what was to become the Get The Door EP. I knew I was on the right track when the first song ‘Ravens’ appeared and I just kept on going from there. It became a deep journey into myself through some pretty incredible highs and lows. All I can say is I came out a better and stronger person and musician on the other side of it, and I got some really great songs out of the deal too.”

There’s hope! Good songwriters do still exist. This is the full stream of MOTE’s new EP, Get The Door:
