The four-piece post-hardcore aficionados who go by the name As We Divide are taking you on a tour of Detroit with their latest music video “Somebody Else,” which we’re thrilled to premiere for them today. (You can own add the song to your collection by downloading it from Apple Music.) The video is extremely well shot, giving you a sky view of the band’s native Detroit, Michigan with other performance shots of them playing in a field, an abandoned building, and finally finishing with a more traditional performance video sequence.

The song itself presents a story from the perspective of somebody in the beginning stages of understanding that the only way they are going to be able to help someone is if their own needs are met first. It’s fine if you have to put yourself first for the time being because it will give you a better chance of actually having some success in assisting that particular person who needs help the most. Musically speaking, it’s a high-energy track, but it’s also true to itself and insightful about an issue that people are faced with every day.

This video is certainly not “Beneath Us. Check out the music video now:

With an exclusive comment regarding “Somebody Else,” singer Robbie Hunt said, “The only person that will ever fully understand your situation is you, and the only way to let someone in on even a portion of your perspective begins with being honest. Taking pride in who you’ve become is so crucial, work on yourself and do it without regret.”

As We Divide is a band that attempts to do their very best in sharing the same feeling with listeners that music has always given to them. They formed in 2015 and quickly evolved based on the shared talents and interests of the members. Featuring guitarists John Murphy and Jacob Danke, vocalist Robbie Hunt and drummer/percussionist Zack Paryaski, part of their evolution has been due to them having the opportunity to perform alongside other musical acts that inspired their sound from the earliest stages. You can expect a lot more coming from As We Divide, with tour dates and new singles and records expected in the near future.

Here is the cover artwork for the band’s recent single, “Beneath Us.”
