Armed with a free high-quality MP3 download of the band’s just-released new song “Check My Pulse,” we’re pretty sure they’re about to garner a heap of new fans. The latest track was produced by Jim Kaufman, known for his work with Atlas Genius, Night Riots, and Anti-Flag, among others.

The twosome, which consists of musicians Zach Mobley and Ty Clark, and who’ve previously shared the stage with Eagles of Death Metal, commented on the song saying: “The goal for the writing sessions that produced ‘Check My Pulse’ was to strip out all the bullshit and go for the listener’s jugular. It’s a big dumb rock song, but in the best possible way.”

The Bourgeois conjure up their sound by merging splashes of Royal Blood and Rage Against The Machine with the punk rock attitude of The Pixies. Over the years, they have constructed a devoted fanbase across the country which has also helped them receive opening slots on U.S. tours with Pop Evil, Electric 6 and the aforementioned Eagles of Death Metal.

They had no trouble finding early success with the release of their debut single “Perverting The American Dream,” which has been streamed over half a million times on independent streaming service Jamendo. Since that point, The Bourgeois has only continued to ascend with more exposure and notoriety to come throughout the rest of this year.

“Check My Pulse” was released on April 26th, 2019.
