Tempe, Arizona’s rock trio, The Black Moods was born in the desert and, much like the surrounding landscape, their music is dusty, raw, sun-burnt, and straight from nature. The team of frontman/guitarist Josh Kennedy, drummer Chico Diaz, and bassist Jordan Hoffman deliver their own version of a well-worn and broken in rock and roll that also offers a modern and personal touch.

Not ones to shy away from the rigours of the road, the band actually built much of their personal character and fan base by hitting the pavement as often as possible. They trekked around the US in support of both their 2012 self-titled debut and 2016’s Medicine, all of which led to the smash 2018 single “Bella Donna,” a Billboard Mainstream Rock chart top 40 hit. Today, further supporting another rad single in “Bad News”, we’re stoked to help debut the group’s latest music video.

With all previous music out via most major service providers, including Spotify, iTunes, and Apple Music, we leave you with some words from the band about the video:

“We put out the video for ‘Bad News’ with live footage from some of our past and current shows and from our 2019 NYE show in Tempe AZ. That being the bands home town, we wanted to show not only how much fun we have, but just how great our fans are. I think the energy from the night shows in it and that a good time was had by all.”

The Black Moods have got one more rad video they want you to peep…. this is “Bella Donna”.

Speaking of the song itself, the guys added, “The first edit of ‘Bad News’ we mixed a little more ‘garage rock-esque.’ When we decided to go to radio with it, we wanted it to be a little more punchy and aggressive, so we went back into the studio and redid some parts. I think we it pulled off.”
