Review: “Never Meant To Be” by Jessica Foxx

Published

on

The Los Angeles pop artist, Jessica Foxx, wastes no time in establishing herself as one to watch with the release of her masterfully produced pop single,”Never Meant To Be”. With the definitive sound of a mainstream pop album, Foxx paves an edgier path of pop music that immediately grabs the ears of listeners. Gutsy yet relatable lyrics such as “I don’t want your heart, I’ve got my own”, paints a picture of a woman who knows what she wants…. and it’s not you. Foxx’s songwriting style coupled with an artfully produced beat, makes “Never Meant To Be” the perfect pop anthem. Mark our words….. this one is going to be a hit for the LA indie pop artist.
On the road to Billboard success, Jessica Foxx creates music that is a perfect cocktail of electro pop and dark pop. With or without modern pop production, her voice is unbelievably refreshing and her tongue-in-cheek, gutsy songwriting puts her in the ranks of the new pop generation. Although a completely independent artist, Foxx has made some great connections over the years. Her debut single “Heartbreak Tastes Like Summer” was co-written with the upcoming songwriter/artist, Leland, who has since written for acts like Selena Gomez, Troye Sivan, and Sabrina Carpenter. She co-wrote her single “Cake” with BMG songwriter Jeremy Thurber (Meghan Trainor, Trisha Paytas), and was mastered by Randy Merrill (Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry) at Sterling Sound in New York City.
