Punk ‘N’ Roll Duo HEART ATTACK KIDS Enlist LIAM CORMIER for Their Sophomore Album and Some Meaty “Modern Decay” [Video Premiere]

London, ON’s hard-working, heavy hustling duo, Heart Attack Kids have just joined the ranks of Canadian rock luminaries such as Cancer Bats, Comeback Kid, Danko Jones, Devin Townsend Project, KEN mode, and Silverstein by confirming their addition to the Toronto-based label, New Damage Records.

With ripping riffs, banging beats and loads of DIY oomph, guitarist/vocalist Jared Ellul and drummer Nathan Stock have been peddling their punk ‘n’ roll far and wide since 2013. Now, with their new label home, the guys are set to issue their sophomore full-length on April 19. Titled Bad Luck Like Gold, and available to pre-order from the label, the recording is covered in the piss and vinegar found on previous releases, including 2016’s debut full-length, No Future.

Strapped with twelve new tunes (which Ellul assures are “just pure power”), a new label, and a solid run of spring Canadian tour dates (list below), we’re also stoked to debut the new album’s punchy lead single “Modern Decay” which features none other than Cancer Bats screamer Liam Cormier. As with the rest of the recording, the tune was recorded at Vespa Studios with Cormier running production. Check the music video and get stoked for April 19th, y’all!

Speaking of the experience partnering with Liam Cormier on the lead single, Jared Ellul notes: “Working with Liam on this record was a true honour. He really helped open up our song writing and allowed us to create something unique. It was an amazing experience recording ‘Modern Decay’ together as we’d never had a guest vocalist before and we are very stoked Liam wanted to sing with us on this track. ‘Modern Decay’ is our testament to getting older. As youth slips away, we all begin to fall apart. It’s an inevitable and relatable part of life, so let’s sing about it.”
