Castle Black are back! Despite the silly rhyme, the Brooklyn, New York post-punk/alternative rock group is tuning their guitars, micing their drums, and packing their bags ready for another string of tour dates, with two separate upcoming treks. The band will be heading back out on the road next week with their friends in Detroit’s Bear Bones on the “Bear Outta The Castle 2019” tour, beginning next week on March 8th in Hazel Park, Michigan. The tour will hit much of middle America over the course of two weeks, wrapping up back in Michigan, in Hamtramck on March 24th.

And then, to kick off spring, the trio will head back out on the road for another week of dates for the “Go Apeshit in April 2019 Tour!” And this time, you don’t have to share Castle Black with anyone else, as it will their own exclusive tour. You’ll also get the opportunity to see more of the band’s brand new drummer and bassist. They’ll be out playing more of their five-track, fourth EP release The Gods that Adored You that was released last summer. The EP is their fourth since 2015 and further illustrates the band’s musical evolution from when they first started. Recording for a 2019 EP release has already begun, which will include a vinyl release.

Check out the band’s video for “Broken Bright Star,” released last year.

Previously commenting on the album, the band stated “The album is broken into two parts, Part A: Fucked and Part B: Adored. This concept comes from the fourth song on the album, ‘A Cigarette, Saved.’ The parts are distinctly different, in terms of the sound of the songs and the feeling, but both parts fit together to make up the whole of the album. As with all of our albums, there is a general trajectory to the songs and there’s a reason these songs are on this EP and ordered and divided in this way.”
