River Becomes Ocean are toying with perceptions of their sound on new song “Addicted”, which vocalist Marvin McMahon says is “Probably the most unconventional and surprising RBO song. “Addicted” is an upbeat , fast-paced song, written in about 30 minutes one happy, autumn night.”

The Brighton-based band recently played a clutch of UK shows and they’ve announced four more for January and February, following their debut album’s release. A Motion Paralysed is the record in question and it will be released 18th Jan, 2019 via Department Musik. The first single to be released from the record was “Silence Means Nothing” which features Liam Cormier of Cancer Bats.

The band have more shows confirmed for early 2019.

I have an unhealthy obsession with bad horror movies, the song Wanted Dead Or Alive and crap British game shows. I do this not because of the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll lifestyle it affords me but more because it gives me an excuse to listen to bands that sound like hippos mating.
