On June 8th, 2018, London, UK-based artist Sands released his four-track Waves Calling EP and soon thereafter saw the album’s title track blow up playlists the world over. A chill mix of alternative, indie and new wave, Sands could easily be grouped in with artists the likes of Animal Collective, Arcade Fire and Spiritualized, but is by no means merely aping others. Today, in continued support of the musician’s latest release, we’re stoked to share an alternate version of the single “Tomorrow’s Gone” (which is due out tomorrow).

The song, which is the second of two, follows the b-side “Burning Man”, both of which will be on the double A-Side single out tomorrow via Spaghetti Sound. Be sure to check out the new tunes, plus the EP which you can find here via Bandcamp.

This is the alternate version to “Tomorrow’s Gone”. Enjoy!

Speaking of the new single and version of the above-premiered song, Sands commented: “‘Tomorrow’s Gone’ is on my latest EP – ‘Waves Calling’ – it’s a new wave/electronic track. This version was the original demo. I went more ‘60s psychedelic, and thought it was good enough to be mixed and put out just leaving it like that, quite bare and mantra-like till the end crescendo. I think here lies the soul of the song.”

Sands previously said of the double A-side single, “‘Burning Man’ is something I had for quite some time, basically I was just waiting for the right moment to put it out, and this seemed a good match.

Don’t know about you, but with the cold weather and end-of-year work, we hear “Waves Calling”.
