Get Lost in SCREAMS OF SYRENS’ “House of Mirrors”; Watch the ‘Horrific’ Music Video Today! [Exclusive Premiere]
Quite the visionaries, Pomona, California’s Screams of Syrens have released their new music “House of Mirrors” taken from their latest record Reflections, due in 2019 via Ambiguous Music. The video is the first part of an epic trilogy!
Pomona, California is the birthplace of Screams of Syrens, a five-piece melodic metalcore group who are quite the visionaries. How so, you ask? Well, the guys have just released their new “House of Mirrors” music video (which we are premiering for you today), an introduction to a trilogy of special videos they’re creating… it’s going to be dope AF!
Taken from their latest record Reflections, coming at you in the new year, the song exemplifies how the band draws influence from artists such as Animals As Leaders, August Burns Red, Avenged Sevenfold, Between The Buried And Me, Black Label Society and so many more. So, if you like your metalcore melodic-yet-heavy, discover the band on Spotify and look our for their upcoming January 2019 tour dates.

Capable of explaining their artistic vision much better than us, vocalist Trevor Laake left us with this summary:
“We were discussing visual ideas for this upcoming cycle, and our manager Todd Koval of Ambiguous Music Group (who directed the video with Nick Serian of Serian Photography) and I are huge fans of horror movies. We thought it would be a great idea to craft an original story around the band and what would happen if an evil entity tried to come between our brotherhood. What we have with ‘House of Mirrors’ is the first chapter of a trilogy. We’re currently filming the next two videos (with Nick and Todd) which will wrap up the story of what happened the night of (spoiler alert) my bandmates being abducted.”
Laake continues by speaking of the song and near future:
“‘House of Mirrors’ is written, lyrically, about someone losing themselves within their own mind. It ends up being a perfect metaphor for what transpires in the first of three videos, that will tell the story of what five guys are capable of when they get tangled up in the dark world of cults and psychopaths. We really feel that our fans will enjoy this creative direction, and we’re really excited to announce our upcoming record Reflections will be released on January 11th, 2019, and our subsequent tour this January with our new friends Indivisions.”
