UK rockers The 109’s have just released their new video for current single “The Pound,” that comes soon after the debut of the recently released “So Long.” Both songs can be found on the band’s new album Hollow Point, eleven new tracks of ferocious guitar riffs, searing guitar breaks and lots of harmonies. Hailing from Hampshire, UK, The 109’s consist of four members who live to celebrate their mutual love of the epic era of classic rock, you know the one, when Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, The Who, AC/DC and then The MC5 helped define the genre. The 109’s attempt to bring you the best in rock history through their own music, writing and recording as a collective to really bring you that definitive rock n’ roll flavour. The band spends their time jamming until a riff sounds just right to create punchy song structures that you won’t get easily tired of.

Regarding “The Pound,” the band said, “Everyone in the band is a massive AC/DC fan, and we all wanted to write a tune that would possess a Bon Scott type of swagger without sounding derivative. ‘The Pound’ is our attempt at that: a chunky riff, some slashing open chords, and a ‘Too bad, girl, but I’m out of here’ type lyric.” Hollow Point was produced with Jason Wilson who has worked previously with Don Broco and You Me At Six.
