Forcefully fusing hardcore, grungy alternative rock, and indie, Baton Rouge, Louisiana’s Shadow People are about to emerge from the shadows and find themselves flung into the bright light that is thousands of new fans’ collections. The trio are set to issue their upcoming full-length album, Secrets, on December 7th, and today are following up the two previously release singles (“Naomi” and “Edward”) with the premiere of track number three, “Pamela”. Due on both CD and digital formats, it’s no Secrets that you should be pre-ordering the album here.

Fronted by guitarist and vocalist Matt Conradi, Shadow People also includes the adept musicianship of drummer Percy Bergeron and bassist Zak Lanius. While Conradi and Bergeron met and began performing as a two-piece in 2013, it wasn’t until 2015 that Lanius joined, rounding out the band’s lineup and cementing them as a three-piece. If asked to summarise the music (not to mention the new song) in 3 words, we’d have to go with “fuzz, feedback and fun.”

So, are you ready to meet “Pamela”?

Speaking of the new album, Matt Conradi left us with these words: “The song’s about my mother having cancer and my dad leaving followed by a divorce. I was 5 years old and I recall how hard it was to see her go through that, much less even understand it. It was very confusing and painful during that time.”
